Birthday Boy

Jack had a wonderful first birthday. I blew up balloons for him before he woke up and he seemed to love them. We had pizza and veggies for dinner (his favorite meal) and I made him cupcakes. Uncle Chal and Uncle Taco came by to celebrate his special day, and we all sang "Happy Birthday" and watched him demolish his cupcake!

Here are a few pictures from yesterday. Little buds was in a great mood and really playful. I feel so lucky because he is such a good-natured baby, and so much fun!

Can you tell how happy he is to have a remote in his hand?

One fish, Two fish, Red fish, Goldfish

I gave Jack Goldfish for the first time on Saturday. As many of you know, he is an tremendous eater and snacks are no exception! After he tried one, he proceeded to shove as many as he could fit into his mouth. Apparently, he was happy about the whole experience!

Jack has been really working on his vocabulary lately. Some of his favorite phrases are: "Da-ee" (Daddy), "Hey", "Momma", "Dis" (This), "Ha-ee" (Tyson and Taco believe he's saying "Hockey") and of course, he has perfected shaking his head "no" at me!
I can't believe that Jack's first birthday is already tomorrow. I have really been thinking about how I was feeling this time last year. I had no idea about how truly blessed Tyson and I were about to be, or how our lives would completely shift to center around his world. I wouldn't change ANYTHING!

Ray of Hope

My friend Aaron Reinberg had a beautiful baby girl on January 8th. Hope Margaret arrived to anxiously awaiting friends and family. My sister and I visited Aaron and Hope in the hospital, and here are a couple of pics.

Jack and I went to Aaron's house on Monday. It was a really great day! Jack played with Al's kitchen set almost the entire time we were there.

Aaron's Mom took a good picture of all of us girls and our kids.

Jack has taken to Sesame Street lately. He really pays attention to Elmo. Here are a few pics of him this morning, after I turned Sesame Street on. Happy little fella!

These pictures were taken last week, but they were too cute not to share!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Fort Drool

Last week I built a fort for Jack in our family room. He had a great time, to say the least. There has been a lot of static electricity in the house lately, which is why his hair was standing on end!

Uncle Taco got Jack a set of stacking cups for Christmas. He loves them! His favorite part is knocking them over.

It is hard to believe that almost a year has passed since Jack came into our lives. I cannot imagine how uneventful my life would be without him! It is indescribable how much love you can feel for someone you are discovering more about every day.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! Mark and Debi came to St. Louis to stay with Jack while me, Tyson, Taco and Chal headed to the farm for New Years Eve. We had a game extravaganza, went sledding while being pulled by the farm truck, and shot at defenseless birds (well, not me)...pretty much the best way to roll in the new year with style. Uncle Chal got Jack a Leap Frog activity table for Christmas and he loves it! Look at Kobi in the background...she looks pretty excited about the whole thing :)

We were on our way to my parent's house when he fell asleep. I think he looks like a little old man, but way cuter of course!

What a ham! I love this one because you can see all of his teeth. He's getting so big!
